How would you describe what you did at RTI International?

I would hope that my largest contributions to this project were my Supervisory and Training skills. I helped screen perspective employees, I helped with their training, as well as monitored phone calls daily for quality assurance and determination of strong/weak skills. I conducted feedback sessions with employees to not only praise their good skills, but, to address the weaker skills needing improvement. I held one on one periodic reviews with the employees for the Operations Manager to determine pay raises; as well, as set career development goals with employees. I generated daily and weekly excel reports to keep Ops Manager and employees aware of their ranking on the floor. Thus, helping maintain the required expectations of the project.... read more

What's the secret to getting hired at RTI International?

Customer Relations expertise. If you cannot handle all types of people, you cannot effectively interact with fellow employees, or customers. Professional demeanor, yet approachable is very important in projecting the proper representation to coworkers and anyone else you are in contact with. Validation is always important in a Call Center environment. Employees, as well as customers, want to know that their concerns are being heard. Neither will cooperate with you if they do not feel that you are taking a genuine interest in them, and talking to them at their level rather then above or below them. Setting clear cut and concise expectations for both employees and customers is also very important. Without these communications skills, I don't think RTI would have hired and retained me on this project for so long.... read more

International Recruiting. Fueling the surge in Iraq with development personnel specializing in Urban Planners, Municipal Engineers etc who will work with local Iraqis to rebuild the government infrastructure
