Experiences at Savannah College of Art and Design, BFA

I worked heavily on a large variety of student and professional productions including; photography, film, sound design, music videos, commercials, and many more. I worked closely with industry standard editing software and lighting equipment. I became familiar with a variety of camera systems from both video and film mediums. I spent long hours with committed workers in order to create succesful productions in a unique and vigorous work environment....

For four years I worked hard developing a personal style that was both effective and appealing. As well I developed skills using the various traditional media as well as Adobe CS2 and Corel Painter to create images, designs and layouts.

Developed the skills to become an new art director in the crazy world of advertising.

I miss the city of Savannah itself. It just doesn't feel like home now without huge swaths of Spanish moss and gorgeous architecture.

I acquired, by dint of many all-nighters and much ramen, a thorough grounding in both fine art and commercial art skills and design principles. The breadth of the foundations courses means I'm equally at home with a pencil, a brush, or a mouse or tablet.

Sequential art as a major gave me a strong background in technical drawing skills, particularly perspective and lifedrawing, as well as general concept design skills and the technicalities of creating and processing graphics for reproduction. I had fairly strong training in design programs, particularly Adobe CS, Quark, and Dreamweaver.

I also completed a drawing minor, which underscored the above skills as well as having a strong emphasis on line & form and color theory....
