If you were to ask any foreign student at VSU what is SIS to me, they will say, "Its his baby". SIS was a rundown, little club with little to say or do 2 years ago when I jumped on the boat as the Assistant Secretary. The same year, I joined other student organizations and learned how to handle the ropes at the school. Today, SIS is one of the biggest and recognized student organizations not only at VSU but in the Valdosta/Lowndes community. Hosting each year its reknown "International Dinner" and the all new "International Education Week" SIS has been put on the map both community and financially. One of my biggest projects with SIS was aquiring funds from the school to host activities. SIS also has other revenue projects which form its cash account. This cash account is my goal and the part I am interested in the most. SIS's long term goal is to put this "cash" funds in a trust that will provide scholarships for international and american students as well to go study abroad with programs approved by the University System of Georgia....
