Experiences at Spin Nightclub

I have SO many stories related to working at SPIN. I would say one of the funniest things that comes to mind right now is when one of my customers fell off of his barstool. It was a monday night and there were only about five customers in the bar. I was talking to one of my friends at one end of the bar when we hear this loud crash. I look at the other end of the bar and see an empty space where there was once a patron. The next thing I see is his hands grabbing onto the bar to pull himself up (like in a movie when someone falls off of a cliff and you think they're dead... but they're not). I made sure he was okay, but to this day I still laugh when I think about it....

The three best things about working at SPIN are: the people I work with, street fairs in the summer and all the interesting people who come into the club. I enjoy people watching while I work. I also like when someone really interesting happens to come in.

I would say dealing with customers who have been over-served. Trying to reason with someone who has had too much to drink can be a challenge. Also, trying to serve people when I am extremely busy. Not all customers are patient or know how to wait their turn. However, I am always personable to them no matter how rude they can and may be....

Currently I mostly just fill in whenever and in whatever position they need me. Think of it as a "special guest appearance" rather than a regular spot. I usually bartend or VJ when they need me.
