I think loving coffee is a plus. But foremost is having a pleasant disposition and friendly personality, as Starbuck's whole thing is making the customer happy any way you can, so that they will return.

Made coffee drinks according to recipe standards. Made drinks deviating from recipes customizing according to customer wants and needs. Work on cash register, money handling. Dealing with all types of customers and resolving issues with unhappy customers.

Behind the Starbucks counter I learned and practiced smaller group team-work and leadershp. I became proficient in multi-tasking and detail focus. Across the counter I learned how to read people and to create not only a product or service but an atmosphere.
