Experiences at Sun Microsystems

We were looking for ways to simulate really large, multi-processor servers with smaller systems. We noticed performance result discrepancies between two different models. I wrote instruction-by-instruction logs, wrote scripts to parse the logs and show important discrepancies. I made hypotheses about why the models differed, followed my hunches, learned new things about computer registers, and discoved the bug in a tool which had been written by another department some time earlier. We then made the corrections necessary to ensure the model's accuracy....

Nearly one year as a pre-sales account team member with specific focus on Sun's Server Products Portfolio. Assigned customer industries included motion picture entertainment, toy manufacturing, on-line gaming, and other generalized computing. Delivered customer solutions utilizing Sun's Services ranging from custom deployments to full, turnkey, complex implementations, and perpetuating data center monitoring/management....

Experience with Microsoft product architecture and administration thus expanding knowledge portfolio beyond that traditionally centralized around Solaris Operating System and the associated hardware server platform classifications ranging from proprietary to commodity. Middleware software conceptual understanding desired as related to specific data management and archival requirements spanning multiple specifications and implementations. Systems management cohesiveness conceptual understanding desired where heterogeneous product classes span multiple data-centers and are centrally monitored and managed....
