Experiences at Sunoco

When operator positions are posted there is a testing process to go through. The initial testing will determine who moves on to the next step. The next step is additional testing to determine if an individual will be a good fit as an operator, after that it moves into the interviewing process.

Employee and Labor Relations

Working in retail, one meets a variety of people. Some of them much stranger than others. One night while working 3rd shift, my coworker and I had a gentleman ask for the time. A regular customer looked at his watch and answered the man's question. The man then proceeded into a rant in which his name went from Alexander Romanov to Al Capone and finally to Ronald McDonald. He also claimed to be undercover with the CIA and have top secret clearance. When confronted by police, his behavior became normal. Ater the police left, he continued his rant for about another 20 minutes and finally left. That was, by far, the most entertaining night i ever had at Sunoco....

There is some opportunity for advancement, but it may take longer than most are willing to wait. It depends on the individual's skill level and seniority, and also on the availability of upper or lower management positions.

There is a company dress code which includes a Sunoco/A-Plus shirt and Tan pants or shorts.
