How would you describe what you did at T-Mobile USA Inc., Bellevue ,WA?

Business: T-Mobile Wireless is the first ever global wireless network, featuring wireless phones and their 802.11 Hot Spots network. I was responsible for the sales to National Retailers and the field support staff that trained the sales associates of those National Retailers. Direct reports included six National Account Managers, and two Directors of Field Sales. Reporting into the director of Field Sales was 500+ sales people in various roles of Regional Manager, Account Representatives, and In Store Sales Associates.

Key Challenges: (i). Increase market share in National Retailers; (ii). Improve efficiencies of the field sales staff so that they were operating at a cost effective CPGA; (iii). Launch 802.11 services at retail.

Actions and Significant Results:
??? Negotiated and launched new customers Comp USA, Fry's, 7-11, Circle K and the good guys as well as negotiating a semi-exclusive relationship with Circuit City, increasing overall activations in channel from previous year.
??? Launched T-Mobile Hot Spots at retailers including Comp USA and Fry's.
??? Stack ranked field support team and developed and implemented training program to improve results of poor performers. Resulted in an overall decrease of CPGA (Cost per Gross Ad) of $20 by improving rate of sale by our ISA from .28 activations per hour to .54 activations per hour.

Additional Focus: Managed brand transition from Voicestream Wireless to T-Mobile Wireless at National Retailers. Planned, Organized and was host of first ever Key Dealer Meeting in which all of our key retailer's senior executives met with T-Mobile senior executives for three day period to plan year and provide suggestions for improvement. Forecasted and budgeted for both the retailers and the field sales force, planed and implemented all retailer specific promotions, properly communicated T-Mobile Rate Plan changes to both field sales organization and retailers.
