The Baltimore Sun?
Provide administrative support for VP and SVP(s) of Packaging/Transportation. Schedules appointments and maintains calendar. Makes travel arrangements and coordinates activities relating to business meetings and functions. Coordinates use of department conference rooms. Provides customer service to all incoming calls and directs calls appropriately. Composes, types and proofreads for accuracy all correspondence and documents relating to particular assignments. Performance evaluations, tracking all non salary, PAF's for all employees, assisting with budget preparation, tracking and creation. Manage personnel files. Assist in all hiring process. Ordering office supplies for warehouse. Prepares and submits payroll. Maintains accurate records and files appropriate notifications regarding vacation, attendance and sick time. Maintains departmental personnel files. Distributes company notices. Maintain current salary records and performance appraisal information for the department. Notifies appropriate manager when performance appraisals are due and follows up to ensure that completion is timely. Tracks annual expense and salary budgets to ensure that goals are met. Monitors bills and maintains equipment inventory. Initiates purchase and capital requests when required and orders office supplies. Routes incoming mail, and performs other administrative and clerical duties....

How would you describe what you did at
The Baltimore Sun?
* Responsible for creating sales & marketing print collateral to promote The Sun, their special advertising sections, company sponsored events and functions. This includes: brochures, logos, promotional house ads, posters, signs, event programs, more. * Also responsible for writing and producing :10 and :30 second TV and radio spots promoting special sections, events and contests. Tools: Final Cut Pro 4, Adobe After Effects 6.5, and Peak Audio 4, a fully equipped TV editing suite which includes sound board, beta, mini DV and VHS decks....
