How would you describe what you did at The Boeing Company?

Presently I assemble wire harnesses for the F-18 program. Coordinate / communicate with support personnel including Production Control / Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Management, I.P.T. (Integrated Product Team), Manufacturing Operations Analyst, Suppliers, Quality, Tooling, and other manufacturing personnel to ensure that the product is assembled in a timely, efficient manner that adheres to all applicable procedures, processes and standards applicable to the production cycle. Assist with identification of current and potential bottlenecks to help ensure timeliness of contractual deliveries. Process improvements included: 1) Helped with the implementation / coordination of relocating required materials needed for production harnesses / Point of Use. 2) Helped organize / coordinate the movement of the test boards to bring them to Point of Use on the shop floor. 3) Coordinate with Management, IPT, Program Management, and Supply Chain Management to ensure that all scheduled items are completed to follow the customers' needs utilizing Kan Ban, which also helps to reduce WIP. I have had to utilize my problem solving skills when a variety of issues became present throughout the different programs. I have assembly experience in the following programs: F-18, F-15, T-45, AV8, C-17, KC-135, MD10, B1B, and Commercial. I have assembled wire harnesses that require solder, coax, twinax, triax, torque stripe and electrical bonding for all of the programs that I have worked. I have training in Fiber Optics. In these programs I have experience reading and interpreting blue prints / Engineering drawings, Engineering Orders, DPS, Tooling requirements, Manufacturing Bills of Material, Change Incorporations, First Article Inspections (FAI's), Stamp Control issues, EPAR's, and other specifications and processes required to build the product. I also have working experience in the manufacturing process flows and the sequence of events needed for all of the areas that I have been, and performing in-process inspections with my O.V. Stamp (Own Verification). I have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel. I have working knowledge of the Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) used onsite including Shop Floor Control (SFCG), and AMAPS/G. I also have a basic understanding of ASRS.... read more
