US government customers were counting on the new ERP system for improved operating efficiencies, and the awarding of major military contracts depended on its implementation. This program was one of the largest and most complex ERP implementations in history as sited by Manufacturing Systems (MSI) Magazine. * Developed and led program management office and successfully managed yearly budget of $25 million. * World's largest client / server based Enterprise Resource Planning System covering 20,000 employees. * Resulting inventory turns doubled and final assembly cycle times were cut by more than 35%. System Administrator \ Project Lead for configuration, administration and ongoing management of published desktops and applications within enterprise Citrix server environments. Executed multiple concurrent projects from systems analysis and design, through build, pilot and rollout. Full scope of responsibilities included administration, project management, server capacity planning, technical writing and employee training.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS: * Established a track record of reducing project deployment times and costs by applying knowledge of Project Management methodologies, resulting in on-time completion, within budget, minimal interruption of service and no end-user impacts.
* Created and maintained project documentation including: WBS, schedules, status reports, requirements gathering, acceptance testing criteria, server farm topology drawings, system architecture, instructions for installing customer applications, event and contingency plans, end-user tip sheets, project close out and lessons learned.
* Responsible for keeping application package changes and OS updates in sync across multiple pilot, pre-production and production enterprise Citrix farms.
* Executed and led deployment of 90+ servers and 1,500 concurrent Metaframe end-users to a Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 farm. Planned, installed and maintained associated pilot and pre-production farms. After successful pilot, migrated all end-users during one weekend outage.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT SKILLS: * Demonstrated understanding of Citrix methodology for server farm components and client access architecture. Configured farm settings, policies, connection and session settings. Added, removed and upgraded servers within farms. Removed, installed and published applications.
* Installed, maintained and supported Windows-based servers and related software. Responsible for ticket analysis, documentation, escalation and resolution of customer issues on 7x24 basis. Found permanent solutions for noticeable problem trends and recurring issues.
* Performed Citrix "Profile Migrations" by utilizing scripts to perform bulk changes to 1,500+ end-user Terminal Server Profile and Home Directory path settings. Utilized phased and all-at-once approaches to migrate profile data to new home directory storage locations.
