Developed custom tools and web applications for the MUSC community using a mix of command line tools, Perl, Python and RoR; backed by MySQL or PostgreSQL; served by Apache under Linux. Provided research and development services on IT related technologies to the MUSC community. Developed dynamic data driven web applications. System administrator for a group of Linux/Debian based web/database
servers. Wrote web interfaces to legacy applications. Researched, customized and deployed Opensource applications. Prototyped LDAP directory to facilitate campus
wide authentication for Linux, Mac OSX and Samba services. Prototyped solution for campus wide web-mail and campus wide calendaring. Prototyped Podcasting solution
using Asterisk. Worked to promote standards based web development and solutions across the campus. Participated on the campus Infrastructure committee. Frequently contributed back to the Opensource community.
