A person would qualify to work for The Pet Nanny only if they have sincere interest in caring for animals and like animals. These are living beings who require patience, time, and careful attention. They must also be capable of working dependably and independently. They should respect all personal property as well as be trustworthy in private residences. Organizational skills would be important because each pet owner and each pet requires special consideration per job. Wisdom in dealing with emergency is very important. This skill would apply in the case of a pet emergency, household emergency, or a pet owner's emergency. An outstanding ability to communicate with the customer is most important. Often customers consider pets as part of the "family". Respect and concern for each pet needs to be communicated to each customer. Finally, going that extra mile would be important. As a pet sitter I have often taken extra time with a pet that needs more attention....
