Experiences at The Poynter Institute

I am the Executive Assistant for the Poynter Online area of the Poynter Institute. Specifically, I work primarily with the Career Center, helping place jobseekers with employers in the media industry. I am responsible for advertising, helping with job postings when necessary and monitoring the budget.

I also spend time assisting the Editor, as well as the Managing Editor, with publishing various types of work on the website. Through this, I have become familiar with website editing and design, as well as marketing what we offer.

I am looking to soon move into assisting with selling our Career Center at various trade conventions and seminars....
