What are the most challenging aspects of your job at The Walt Disney Company?

While there is plenty of magic in the atmosphere, there are also some challenges that present to every cast member, the important thing to have in mind is knowing how to deal and resolve those challenges.
For instance, how to make sure that a guest is having a magical time. Some times a family
would get influenced by the intense weather and other guests in the resort, affecting greately the youngest members of that family. Now, how to identify and assess the situation is really a great skill to have. And dealing with the situation in the way that the whole family could be pleased by providing a little more of that magic.... read more

How would you describe what you did at The Walt Disney Company?

The task that I enjoyed doing the most was 'making magic' (term used mainly by the fantasyland cast members) to the many guests that would seem in need of some pixie dust.
I started as a ride operator at the Storybook Land Canal Boats of the World doing the parts of a Storytelling Captain and
an Attractions Host, later got more responsibilities by expanding my duties to cover over the other rides within the Sleeping Beauty's Castle area.
While being an AH/RO, I got the oportunity to maintain the control of guests before, during, and after every 'street' performance and show; this includes checking on the safety of guest during parades and pyrotechnic shows.
If I had the chance, I would once again be part of such an amazing and wonderful cast member team.

The real secret to be part of a great team of xast members at the Disneyland resort is being yourself. That's all it takes, be yourself and have a great time as you go on your day. Having a positive and up-beat attitude towards the world will land you the role.

Artist trainer for new cast members; Trained under the Disney Design Group to draw Disney characters accurately and on-model.

Conducted a series of 3D animation workshops about the 3D animation process.
