*Provide technical and administrative leadership to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Machining Department in a fast paced, high volume facility supplying precision machined pinions and side gears for differential assemblies to automotive Tier I and Tier II OEM customers. *Oversee Operations, Production scheduling, resource utilization & productivity, Quality Control, Total Preventive Maintenance planning and tool control, as well as SAP data reporting. *Use Lean and Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, heijunka, and OEE methods to champion Operational Excellence efforts, productivity improvements and cost reductions. *Act as a change agent driving Continuous Improvement in both processes and culture. *Evaluate, propose, and lead comprehensive capital improvement projects. *Operate within departmental budget. *Generate and present reports and proposals to senior and executive management using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. *Create, implement, and enforce departmental Operational Policies. *Effectively and professionally interface with all internal departments, internal and external customers, auditors, executive management, and corporate representatives. *Direct supervision and mentorship of four Manufacturing Supervisors, three Technical Associates, and eighty hourly personnel.
