What's the secret to getting hired at Today's Staffing?

You have to lack professionalism, follow-up skils, and the overall recruiting background that would make you an attractive candidate anywhere else. Today's Staffing did not return 3-4 of my phone calls placed, to arrange an appointment to be evaluated for numerous Temp Positions in the HR genre of employment. I possessed all the relevant skills for several open positions, applied, called, followed-up, and was ignored. I then had a phone interview with their Dallas, TX corporate office, for a FT Recruiter position with their Newtown Square, PA office. When the TX Recruiter called me back, she said, "I spoke to the PA office, and evidentally you have applied to some of their open positions they're sourcing for." I said yes. She said, "well that's understandable that you would want to apply to several openings, since you are job hunting, but they've decided not to move forward with you at this time." So, here, we have a situation in which they are acknowledging they got my phone calls, they got my qualified Resume, but yet did not feel the need to return calls, to help a job-seeker find employment; in other words do the very thing that their company is supposed to be known for. Somehow, I assume, my having applied to some temporary HR positions, and also having applied to a FT position within their office, must have been a bad thing. Who knew that seeking employment in either temp or FT would be a bad attribute to an employer. It's called looking for available options so that you can both bolster your career, and earn money to live. Today's Staffing is unprofessional, doesn't know talent, and does not do the very thing they're touting as their profession: help qualified candidates get placed in successful positions. Stay away from them. I will.... read more
