TransUnion?

Report to Enterprise CIO. Responsible for $15MM budget and shared services staff of 140 associates and 50+ contractors deployed via a professional services model to internal IT application areas. Accountable for strategic direction, tactical planning, budgets, compliance, deliverables and management of offshore outsourcing. Selected accomplishments include:
* Created vision, developed plans and implemented a consolidated shared professional services organization based on functional centers of excellence that was deployed enterprise-wide. Reduced annual costs $1.8MM, improved deliverables and enhanced quality of results to customers. * Built quality control and quality assurance groups that consolidated and standardized practices, improved quality on project development and eliminated redundant expenses. Used CMMI as the quality assurance method to assess and improve processes across the IT development life cycle. * Selected and implemented business process management (BPM) software, which improved and automated workflow processes, provided new data reporting capabilities and utilized open systems solutions. * Developed initiatives to meet revenue growth, planning, compliance and communication needs which reduced expenses and provided more timely and comprehensive information. These included: project planning and time tracking, corporate Intranet, B2C Web portal, usability testing, implementation of web content management and initiation of ITIL based systems management service support functions. * Created and implemented an enterprise IT offshore outsourcing strategy that deployed three vendors at five offshore sites which reduced corporate expenses $2MM and provided distributed 24 x 7 development and support solutions to business units. * Selected, negotiated and deployed enterprise software products and services that addressed functional needs, leveraged usage in new areas, and reduced expenses. These included: DB2, Oracle, DBA productivity, repository and modeling tools, RUP, ClearCase and ClearQuest, Mercury test tools, Unicenter, Clarity/PPM, Savvion, replication software, message queuing and Forrestor research services....
