How would you describe what you did at Transportation Security Administration?

Protect the Nation's transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce through Provision of Professional Security Inspection Services to Airport passengers & Airlines according to Federally mandated Transportation Security Administration Policies & Procedures under U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Screening Procedures include inspection of baggage, personal property and regulation physical pat downs for prohibited items through the use of specialized image scanning equipment and metal detectors at Airport passenger security checkpoint and Airline baggage loading areas. When Prohibited items are found, they are considered illegal and can result in Criminal or Civil Prosecution.

What are the three best things about working at Transportation Security Administration?

Working for the TSA is challenging and often stressful. The three things I liked about the job were that 1) I was able to attend college while working there (my supervisors were supportive of me being in school) 2) I had a large number of co-workers who were often fun to work with and 3) I worked at Orlando International Airport which I think is a great airport for travelers and the people who work there.... read more
