What are the most challenging aspects of your job at Trico Marine?

I would have to say that handleing the personalitys on the vessel are the most difficult. The marine envourment is harsh so the is the upmost importance for comunication between crew members on the vessel. I found that lack of sleep,physical labor and long tours offshore are not the hardest but just keeping everyone working together on the same page can be the most challenging... read more

How would you describe what you did at Trico Marine?

I was a 1600 ton mate at Trico Marine. The position of Mate on a vessel is to assist the Captain in navigation,inpspect and maitain the vessel,inspect and maitain all safety equipment and systems and quardinate job duties for the deck crew.

What's the secret to getting hired at Trico Marine?

you have to be reliable and dependable for the crew changes. Also a team attitude is of the upmost importance when working in the marine envourment and in close quarters with others
