How did you find your job at Tyson Foods?

Worked for Holly Farms from 1970-1984. Holly Farms was bought by Tyson Foods. I had left area from 1984-1990 and when I returned I went to work for Tyson Foods.

What's the toughest problem you've had to solve at Tyson Foods?

Covering for the Controller's position for Month End Closeout with no notice. Month End Closeout was the next morning.

What are the most challenging aspects of your job at Tyson Foods?

Multi-tasking 90% of the time was challenging but rewarding. Covered two different jobs for long periods of the time and covered for the Controller's position for months until one could be relocated to Complex.

Maintained good relationship between Tyson Foods and its contract growers. Maintained good relationship between Complex and Corporation Headquarter's Accounting and MIS Departments. Maintained good audit records. Responsible for accounting for all Live Production Departments: Live Haul, 2 Truck Centers, Feed Mill, Hatchery, Breeder and Broiler Departments, Feed Delivery.
