What are the three best things about working at U. S. Department of Navy, Human Resources Service Center - Northeast?

Location. The office is located in Philadelphia's historical section. The Federal Government is great if you're looking for mobility. I started working for HUD in Pittsburgh, moved to Philadelphia in 1983, and think Navy is my seventh Federal employer. I've worked for EPA, OPM, the U. S. Mint, and a few DOD activities. And benefits are pretty good compared to private sector. Many think Federal salary is low (and it probably is low compared to the money top Jobster employees make) but when combined with benefit coverage and workplace flexibilities Federal employment is not that bad of a deal.... read more
