Focused on computer science with an irresistible urge for computer graphics... which worked out well for me when I got a job at SGI.

I studied Drosophila (fruit-fly) genetics and obtained a solid molecular, genetic and cellular biology foundation to build from. Much of my time spent at Berkeley involved my own research project dedicated to developing a novel genetic screening technology and studying gene function - developmental biological role in the Drosophila eye as well as proto-oncogene candidate function....
