How would you describe what you did at UCLA Anderson?

Provide complex analytical, technical and executive level administrative support to the Accounting Faculty and Vice Chair. Overall management of the graduate and when needed undergraduate academic area offices, including writing effective compositions of correspondences, preparations of forms for reimbursements and direct purchase. Directly manage a wide array of issues and perform complex problem solving.

High level of data/information gathering and analysis. Manage and update the department website. Design executive level reports and presentations using the most appropriate software applications, (e.g., Excel, Word, WordPerfect, and PowerPoint) including document generation, update and printed production.

Formulate project budgets in financial tracking and reconciliation using database and spreadsheet software to record information. Answer phones, greet visitors and students, and communicate information about the department. Assemble grant proposal materials such as Academic Senate Awards. Analyze extramural award synopses and interpret terms and conditions of agreements. Knowledge of graduate and undergraduate student financial support. Reconcile expenses charged to University ledgers. Initiate corrections and adjustment to ledgers using forms and online tools. Advise faculty on funding agency policies, guidelines, proposal format and budgetary details.

Plan, implement and oversee small to large scale special events, programs, conferences, and seminars such as the Accounting Workshop Series, Faculty Recruitment, Doctoral Recruitment, RAST conference, UCLA Mock Trial and Behavior Decision Making Group Seminars. Manage full range of logistical support by communicating with participants to facilitate their campus visit, determine appropriate venues, select on-site services and handle production issues such as audio visual coverage, signage, and other requirements. Design and implement promotional and marketing plans for the events. Organize press and arrange room location with media relations for Professor Benartzi new releases.

Select, supervise, train and evaluate work study students, teaching assistants and research assistants. Delegate their work schedules and duties to be performed. Major duties include: processing all personnel actions in all titles including academic, academic apprentice and staff titles. Prepare and update all personnel actions using EDB (Employee Database System) and PTR (Online Payroll Time Reporting System) for academic and staff.
