Experiences at UConn

I balanced two things: teaching and my own research. Teaching meant planning, organizing, and implementing a course that would sell the concept of academic writing to college freshmen and then give them the tools to use academic writing throughout their college career. My own research (coursework) meant repeatedly figuring out the terms of scholarly communities and learning how to look like an expert (on paper) within each discourse....

Pursued political science for first two years, then switched major to Art History.

I studied general education and explored several career options.
