What's the secret to getting hired at US AIRWAYS?

Back in 1974 when I was hired the airline industry was growing in leap and bounds. At this time they required a high school education. This all changed through out the years and the airlines started requireing a college degree. The airline always was looking for someone who cared about others, and someone who was a personal person considering the feeling of others and looking for ways to assisting others. What's the secret to getting hired at US AIRWAYS?

I don't know if US Airways still has any IT functions in Pittsburgh. They farmed out their IT operations to The Sabre Group which was based in Dallas, TX. At the time I was hired, US Airways was strictly an IBM shop. I was hired due to my C and OS/2 knowledge. They eventually moved their PC applications to Windows.... read more

How would you describe what you did at US AIRWAYS?

from 1987-1989 customer service.ramp agent,ticket sales,gate service.load unload a/c
receipt and dispatch,etc.
1989-2005 .utilitymen,appearence crew,aircraft cleaning etc.
