Experiences at United Health Group

I am a customer service professional. I assist the senior population with understanding and obtaining much needed drug coverage. This is an espeacially confusing area seeing as how the Medicare Part D plans are new and vary from plan to plan.

Honesty. I was asked specific questions about what I would do in certain situations and why I would do whatever it is I chose and I was honest with my answer. In getting a job I think candidates feel like they have to embelish and exaggerate but honesty is the key.

Respond courteously and accurately to members, providers and clients inquiries relating to eligibility, explanation of benefits and general plan information.

Working with the pharmacy network to help properly adjudicate Rx drug claims.

Working within our billing department to ensure that reimbursements are processed for the member.

Knowledge of Government programs, Medicare and Medicaid procedures.

Answering incoming calls from providers to explain benefits, claims processing, prior authorization requirements and verification of procedures being medically necessary.

Performing follow-up calls and account maintenance as needed.

Process enrollment applications during open enrollment and throughout the year.

Maintain verification spreadsheets for state and employer plans.

* Conducted an average of seven behavioral interviews per day to staff 180 Call Center and Claims Processing positions for United Health Group in Greensboro, NC.
* Organized and staffed on-site job fairs to generate new applicants.
* Assisted the Site Director with administrative responsibilities, client relations, and recruiter training.
* Filled all positions two and a half months prior to deadline....

Data entry of medical information for credentialing with insurance companies. Also inclueded data entry, customer service, office 2003, excel, and general office duties.
