What's the best team you worked with at United States Navy?

The best team-oriented and closest group of people that I've worked with was the crew of sailors who were a family on board the combat ship I served on when I was enlisted in the Navy. The tight nature of living quarters on board a ship was such that the crew in general and the group immediately in your work environment had to quickly adapt to the disciplined and routine-oriented environment of military life. The efficient mechanism of structured and practiced teamwork in all aspects of shipboard living from workstation collaboration to assigned cleaning and maintenance chores kept everyone closely aligned to the core objectives of our mission and the quality of life onboard the ship. Adapting to each other as well as to the cooperative mandates put in place by authority was crucial to the successful and smooth operation of a combat ready crew. Lack of cooperation, selfishness, inconsiderateness, and an inability to focus on tasks as part of a larger group was not tolerated or appreciated.

In general, because of the nature of the environment and the critical reasons for keeping structure, order, and discipline in place among the ranks the team solidarity, mission, and overall camaraderie left a lasting and memorable impression on me.
