I participated in many extracurricular activities through my fraternity including Rush Chair, and intramural hockey

I quickly learned, though unfortunately not until after it was too late for a tuition refund, that this was not the way I wanted to spend my life.

I worked as a Research Assistant in the Sociology Department. I was in charge of recruitment for the United Way Student Day of Caring in 2003. My junior year I was selected as one of three students to reopen the office of community involvement. As the student director of community partnerships I formed positive relationships with the local volunteer organizations in Columbia. My senior year I was promoted to the Service Programs Coordinator and oversaw the office and the student groups it encompassed. I found all of these University jobs because of my strong involvement in Alpha Phi Fraternity, where I served as Vice President of Operations and Facilities for two years....
