How would you describe what you did at University of West Georgia?

II learned how to sing properly. I studied classical singing (opera) and learned how to sing Italian, French, and German. I learned music theory and how a song is written. I was studying how to be a music teacher and the psychology of children from first through the twelth grades.

What did you learn along the way at University of West Georgia?

While at the University of West Georgia, I learned to actively communicate with people from all lifestyles. I have also demonstrated the ability to multi-task and organize my time in order to complete any tasks that were assigned. UWG is a great institution and has allowed me to pursue my education at the most inopportune times in my life. Just this past summer while I was deployed in Iraq for my second time, I was allowed to complete two online core classes in a month and a half through the efforts of the staff at UWG.... read more

While working toward my B.A. in Pre-Law I was also the Bowden Hall Vice President for Resident Life for a semester before I was deployed to Iraq in 2005.

I was a full-time student, President of two advocay student organizations, involved in coordinating events for several campus-wide annual events and a Resident Assistant in the Honor's Hall for the Advanced Academy of Georgia.

I earned my MBA taking night classes while I taught for the Crossroads program full-time during the day. I greatly increased my knowledge of the corporate and strategic outlook for businesses and how to manage these areas.

University of West Georgia

PreAccounting Major, Degree not yet attained.
As I had been interested in the field of accounting since I was younger, and loved dealing with columns of numbers, finding and fixing errors, auditing, and basically anything to
do with mathematics in general, I wished to become a Certified Public Accountant. While I was learning about that, I became interested also in Chemistry and Pharmacy, thinking that perhaps I would change fields, even have a minor in some form of Art. However, some things in my life changed dramatically and I was forced to leave college for a while to earn enough money so that I could return and finish one day. I still have a goal of obtaining my Bachelor's degree, but do not know in exactly what field.
I was also a member of the Honors College until unfortunate events forced me to leave the college unexpectedy.
