What advice would you give to a new employee at Upscale Staffing?

Staffing is a wonderful industry. We have the opportunity to be career matchmakers for both our client companies and our candidates. Advice that I would give to a new employee at Upscale Staffing would be to plan and prioritize your day properly, make your calls to your candidates or client companies, don't procrastinate, conduct your candidate interviews, find out exactly what your clients are looking for in a candidate, make your follow up calls, set individual goals for yourself, try to reach your team goals, be a team player, ask questions when you need to, attend staff meetings, training sessions, etc.... read more

What are the opportunities for advancement at Upscale Staffing?

All of our Staffing Coordinators and Account Executives receive training. Training consists of 4 modules of training that are broken up into two weeks per module. They are also required to attend online or live conference call training 3 days per week. Once the training modules have been completed, the Staffing Coordinator or Account Executive will then take a certification test. If they pass, they will receive additional certification training. After six successful months within their position, the Staffing Coordinator or Account Executive is offered the opportunity to train for another position or possibly enroll in our managment training program.... read more

What's the interview process like at Upscale Staffing?

Our Staffing Coordinators conduct candidate searches, review resumes and conduct interviews. If a candidate has submitted a resume for a particular position, the Staffing Coordinator will review the resume to determine if the candidate is qualified. If the candidate is qualified, the Staffing Coordinator will contact the candidate to discuss the position in greater detail, determine the needs of the candidate, have them to agree to be represented by Upscale Staffing, complete a candidate questionnaire, submit references, etc. The Staffing Coordinator will then verify the candidate's references, perform necessary background checks, schedule a phone interview and once the interview is completed, the Staffing Coordinator will forward the candidate to the Team Leader if the candidate meets all of our client company's minimum requirements. The Team Leader will then conduct another more thorough interview to ensure if the candidate is really qualified and if the candidate is able to withstand an interview with our client. If the Team Leader approves, the candidate is then submitted for the position. If the candidate is not approved, the Staffing Coordinator is informed of whether the candidate really is qualified for the position, a good fit or state whether the candidate requires additional coaching prior to interviewing with the hiring manager.... read more

My position allows me the opportunity to provide our both client companies and our candidates with individual attention, focusing on them and allowing for a smooth hiring process. We provide our clients with the best "upscale" candidates available within the market of passive candidate. Our services are free to candidates and our clients only pay a fee when they hire our candidates.... read more
