Experiences at VIASAT

Automated a Verification Lab bench using LABVIEW to interface with GPIB capable Spectrum Analyzer, signal Generator, and Power Meter to perform the analysis of RF Signal of a Satellite Modem. This measures PLL voltage linear range, Phase Noise, Carrier and Quadrature dBc, Spectral Mask at various Symbol rates, Spurs Noise.

Tested many designs of VCOs operating a KU/KA band frequencies to determine the best design.

Analyzed another possible ultra wide band VCO design from an RF company for the satellite modem.

Verified and tested KU band filters with Network Analyzer for use in the satellite amplifier design....

Responsible for designing the next generation satellite communication system for broadband internet applications and managing customers for their product feature needs.

??? Developed a differentiated services module for the satellite modem platform. This module was crucial in securing new customer contracts, resulted in doubling the total number of contracts.
??? Redesigned modem architecture that enabled network operator to triple subscriber capacity to 750,000.
