What was the main reason for accepting your job (location, opportunity, money) at VTPP, Texas A&M University?

I like building. Anything. I was looking for a job to help with paying for my masters at that time. This job was an engineer's dream, from my point of view. The pay wasn't much initially, but I couldn't turn it down.
