Our research group in colloboration with the SRI International is focussed on studying the catalytic efficiency and oxidation properties of UHTCs such as ZrB2-SiC and HFB2-SiC composites in flow environments containing oxygen plasma. This involves oxidation of UHTCs in a flow reactor and subsequent characterization of the samples using different techniques like Spectroscopic Ellipsometry, RBS, MEBS, AES, and XPS.
