Experiences at Vennard College

One of the projects we did every year was the Christian Service Job Fair. We would contact churches and organizations in the community and ask them to set up a booth at the job fair to recruit new students to assist with their ministries. This was a great networking opportunity for the College, but also for the other individuals involved....

1. The office experience was very helpful.
2. I got to help my department do something that was really important
3. I was mentored by some incredibly talented and wise staff members.

We had to find a logical way to combine several documents into one user friendly document.

Getting other agencies and individuals to turn documents in on time was always a struggle. Also, in this position I was sometimes exposed to sensitive performance related information about other students.

This was a work study program, so being a student is essential! It is also good to be talented at whatever job you are applying for.
