The secret to getting into Verizon FNS is to create an opportunity for management to observe a unique and needed competency in the candidate. There are many consulting companies on the inside that can gain access to hiring managers; however, a person must have something very unique to offer that is in high demand or solves very difficult problems. For example, I brought 20 years of Nortel carrier-grade systems and pre-sales engineering to the table. Along with that, I had to be able to manage my resources and projects. A person also must have a very high standard of technical writing ability. Finally, a Top Secret security clearance would most likely seal the deal!...
