Experiences at Village Voice Media

Having a rather intense meeting interrupted by one of our developers running in screamnig "Da*n Mongolians - they tore down my sh*tty code!" - It's a South Park reference (we blame those Mongolians for everything from not enough coke in the fridge to our own screw ups) - You'd have to have been there, I guess....

More than likely one of our 17 newspapers or web sites. Then again, maybe anything BUT those... depends on if you are involved with editorial or not I guess. :)

heh - I saw the online ad for three weeks before I finally sent a cover letter on a Tuesday morming at 9:30 AM. At 10:45 AM I had a call back. At 2 PM Wednesday I had an interview. I had the offer by 6:30 PM Wednesday. - Short answer: around 33 hours.

(I can only speak for the engineering group here) Be very good at what you do. Don't be afraid to have fun - even in the interview.

I'm designing the architecture for the new Web 2.0 infrastructure we are going to be using for 17 newspaper sites around the country.
