How would you describe what you did at Volt?

Monitored and evaluated MSN support calls in outsource centers. Created calibration sessions with the Quality department, two Service Delivery Managers (SDM's).
Trained new Quality Managers to the team.
Created department Quality Manager Team website.

How would you describe what you did at Volt?

I assembled front and rear calipers on the hummer line at TRW. They are for the military. I worked a 12 hour swing shift which I didn't really like.

How would you describe what you did at Volt?

Sr. National Technical Recruiter / National Program Support Specialist

Staff IT professionals for Volt's National Accounts, which included full lifecycle recruiting. National Client list includes; Northrop, IBM, Raytheon, Rockwell, Intuit, Wells Fargo, Verizon, Apple, Toyota and Goodrich.
Volt employees work at different client locations, on a project basis, supporting their IT departments at all levels.

Positions of employees included; Software Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Systems Engineers/ Analysts, Electrical Engineers, Business Analysts, Web Designers, Programmers, Telecom Engineers etc.

Worked with a number of Vendor Management Systems and Programs; Peopleclick, Beeline, AVX, IQ Navigator.

As a National Program Support Specialist I am the central point of contact (liaison) between Volt and one of our National Accounts. I coordinate all of the business development and process all administrative functions and between Volt and the client.

As an acting Assistant Branch Manager I assisted the Manager and stepped in for the Manager in all areas of managing the branch. I oversaw recruiters in the branch as well as trained new employees of all roles in the branch. I personally developed a number of reports and forms we implemented into the branch as a general practice.

Hired as a Sr. Technical Recruiter consultant for the Verizon Six Sigma Project, then brought on perm, and later given the added roll of National Program Support Specialist.

What advice would you give to a new employee at Volt?

Volt is a great vendor company if you want to work at Microsoft as a "v-". Volt has tons of positions at MS, and they have a rock-solid reputation, so it's a great way to try to get in. The one thing I might caution, is that once you are placed on a team at MS, Volt can be a little hands-off. Usually that's good, but sometimes it's hard to get to your Volt representative with Volt-specific questions.... read more
