What are the three best things about working at WFAL 1610 AM?

Constantly being "in the know" about upcoming artists and chart position stats has to be one of the biggest perks. As a part of my job, I have to know about all the new upcoming bands and while it is a lot of work, it pays off. I also like the close knit community at WFAL. Everyone who works there is a real team player and we all contribute to the company. It is satisfying to feel like part of a team at WFAL. I won't deny it. Working as a music director at WFAL means a lot of free stuff! Records, tickets, and various give-aways. I have even received a handful of signed memorabilia from big acts personally thanking me for helping to promote their album.... read more

How would you describe what you did at WFAL 1610 AM?

My main tasks include maintaining relationships with promotion companies and record labels, reviewing and cataloging all CDs that come to the station, and compiling and reporting our charts to CMJ. I also establish new record/promotor contacts on an ongoing basis to increase record flow into the station.... read more
