Wal-Mart Stores Inc. 1992-2005 People Division, Corporate Recruiting 2004-2005 * Currently support all recruiting functions for SAM'S CLUB salaried openings. * Previously supervised 9 salaried recruiters and 6 hourly assistants that support various areas of the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. including: Finance/Accounting, Global Security, Travel/Aviation, Claims/Benefits and Information Systems. * Designed and control departmental budget of $900,000. * Supported 150-200 exempt and non-exempt openings, ranging from entry level to director level. * Team fills for FYE 2005 totaled more than 500 exempt and 900 non-exempt openings. * Strong belief in establishing a career-path for associates, with a proven track record of promotions. Operations Division, Staffing and Diversity 2002-2004 Team Lead, College Recruiting * Oversaw 4 recruiters supporting College and Diversity recruiting efforts that will resulted in over 500 intern and full-time hires/year. * Team responsibility of 50 college campuses for summer internships and Full-Time Management Training program for the Wal-Mart Stores Operations Division. * Personally supported and coordinated recruiting efforts for 55 Diversity career fairs throughout the United States., 12 Colleges and Universities, and 25 SIFE events. International Division 1998-2000 Store Planning Set-up Supervisor * Responsible for all dry grocery/fresh area training and scheduling with up to 700 associates during new store set-up for Wal-Mart Supercenters. * Managed Supercenter Grand Openings in China (3) and Korea (1), and various remodel projects in Canada, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Mexico. * Projects required in-country stays between 4-10 weeks per project. Operations Division 1992-1998 * Worked full-time as department manager, hourly floor supervisor, and summer intern while a full-time student * Promoted to Store Operations Manager Trainee upon college graduation. * Upon completion of training program, was promoted to Assistant Manager in a Supercenter with $75 million in annual sales and responsibility over 25-40 associates while managing grocery areas and overnight team...
