As an assistant manager at Walgreens, you are responsible for everything. Cash management and customer service are the numberone and two priorities. In addition to this, you are responsible for keeping the store stocked, as well as managing a staff of people, ranging in number from 2-7

Input patient information and prescription into Intercom Plus.
Liaison between patient and doctor, and/or patient and insurance company.
Fill Prescription with proper medication and aid in customer services.

Learned the basic roles of a Pharmacy Technician. Mastered the basic computer system used for entering prescriptions and health and insurance information. Learned the cell system used for distributing various prescriptions. Mastered the scales usage as well as the process in mixing antibiotics and other medication. Shadowed other pharmacy technicians when it came to using the cash register because by it being an internship we werent able to deal with money....

FILLED AND TYPED PRESCRIPTIONS, MOTIVATED OTHER TECHNICIANS TO ACHIEVED THEIR GOALS IN THE PHARMACY. ODER CARDINAL DRUGS FOR THE PHARMACY AND HANDLE ALL INSURANCE CLAIMS FOR PATIENTS.

Standing on your feet for long hours during the day. Irate customers. Long hours and working weekends and holidays.

Making recommendations and answering customer's questions. Being able to count money and make change. Id'ing all persons buying tobacco. Keeping the front of the store clean. Stocking is also a must.

You have to be really friendly and have some common knowledge about retail.
