How would you describe what you did at Weltman, Weinberg & Reis?

As a collector, I was responsible for contacting debtors and negotiating payment arrangements. Also, I would be responsible for maintaining a route of accounts up to 1400 at a time. Skiptracing was also an important part of my job, as it would be necessary to track debtors down.

When I was
promoted to Lead Collector, my responsibilities also included training new hires, as well as supervising up to 13 people, ensuring that they were maintaining their accounts within client standards. Also, I would be responsible for setting up and maintaining the computer assisted dialer.

When I was promoted to Collection Supervisor, my responsibilities would include meeting with upper and corporate management to discuss collection procedures, as well as meeting with clients to discuss our performance and how we can improve our collections to continue to compete with our competition. I would also be responsible for creating reports that would inform not only collectors but management and clients of various statistics.

What's one thing you would like to change at Weltman, Weinberg & Reis?

Probably the fact that the place has such high turnover and the reasons so many people leave the way they do, disgrunteled, bitter and mad. I am myself left because I needed a change. It's sad that so many people leave WWR unhappy and bitter!
