Debug & verification of SCSI FC-AL and SCSI SPI interface chipsets. Simulation of pre-silicon VHDL and Verilog code as well as pre-silicon gate array implementations. Follow on testing of first silicon, production level silicon and conformance to ANSI SPI-3 (SCSI Parallel Interface?3, also known as Ultra SCSI 3) specification. Fiber Channel-Arbitrated Loop (FC-AL) protocol experience as it applies to disk drives (both copper and optical fiber inpelmentations). HDD read/write channel design & development. Responsible for researching and implementing the latest technology in servo track writing for high performance disk drives aimed at the server and workstation markets. Tasks include embedded software development in Visual C++ (MS Visual C++ ver 6.0 and Watcom v11) with a target O/S of DOS with PharLap extender. Hardware development covered read/write channels for clock and servo burst information.
