APE is Adapted PE class where i was put in a group of 4. Each friday we hosted kids from the surrounding schools in a clinic seeting. We were given a PE category, like soccer skills, locomotor skills, and more, to teach the group of students we were provided. This went on for 8 clinics, with myself teaching every other week. It was a great and challanging experience because we had to plan activities for these groups of students who had disabilities. So it was challanging to try to keep them all on task and make activities that could challange all the different skill levels of my students. It was so rewarding to see them try new things and be successful; to see them smile and gain confidence in themselves. I loved that class and this experience also furthered my desire to teach special education. And to affect the children of our future....
