The Intern Program! It's one of the best programs I've seen.

For the internship there was an initial phone interview. That was pretty straightforward: what sort of experience do you have, describe a situation when _____ occurred and how you dealt with it, teamwork, et cetera.

After that interview, groups of students went down to Federal Way and spent the day there. We walked around with team leaders, learned about the company, and eventually were individually interviewed by a group of people. After that, we ate lunch and got to meet all of the teams we would potentially be working for. It was a pretty laid back process....

1. The people are very nice.
2. They give benefits to their interns.
3. A handful of free lunches, and a pretty cool IT-wide picnic.
