What's the toughest problem you've had to solve at Yahoo! Research?

I am not sure that this can be classified as a "problem," but it was certainly a toughie! I had to come up with the collateral idea and theme for our sponsorship at WWW2007 (World Wide Web conference). I was given less than a week to come up with the concept and content for an insert that would appeal to the techie crowd, yet reflect the fun brand and reputation of Yahoo! What are the most challenging aspects of your job at Yahoo! Research?

Communicating with team members to contribute to the content of my programs. Since we are a global company, my colleagues are spread all over the world. They are also heavily involved in so many things that it creates a challenge to track them down and get responses from them when I'm in need of specific content or input for my programs.... read more

How would you describe what you did at Yahoo! Research?

I project manage and execute outreach programs including Web site (research.yahoo.com), events (mostly for recruiting, branding and networking), newsletters and collateral creation. This includes extensive project management and writing and editing for these programs.
