How would you describe what you did at arrow electronics?

I am primarily responsible for developing and implementing sales strategy for the Supply Chain Information Services line of business in North America. My mission is to maximize revenues for Arrow's Global Components Business, through increased component sales as well through growth in service subscription revenues. I can be counted on to meet revenue targets, deadlines, budgets and commitments. I continuously look for new ways to provide increased value to clients. I am relentless in the pursuit of continuous process improvement and the elimination of non-value added activities. I am considered an "expert" in global environmental compliance legislation aimed at electrical and electronic products. I routinely serve as a public speaker on Arrow's behalf and I lead environmental compliance awareness education and strategic planning sessions for many of Arrow's largest customers, across numerous industries, throughout North America.... read more

What's the secret to getting hired at arrow electronics?

For me, it was my experience building professional services and sales organizations from the ground up, as well as my successful experience turning around under-performing sales and services organizations. I was hired by Wyle Systems (later acquired by Arrow) as a result of performing a consulting engagement to re-engineer business processes for their centralized inside sales and customer service organizations. The company recruited me to serve as the in-house Director responsible to implement the "re-invention" strategy I had mapped out for them during the consulting engagement.... read more

Responsible for new-partner recruiting and account management in five states of Pacific Northwest. Doubled overall sales and secured two new 'anchor' partners. Represented Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and oterh lines of business in the UNIX/LINUX midrange space.
