Experiences at bea systems

Responsible for the direct sale of the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform, an application development infrastructure product suite (J2EE app server, portal, integration, Web services, SOA and J2EE development framework.)

Sold software licenses and professional services into the South-Central region. Developed the J2EE application development market in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana and closed large transactions with Enron, Vignette, BMC Software, The Williams Companies, and many others.

Exceeded annual quota three years in a row and attained BEA's Achiever's Club trip all three years. Recognized as the top Mid-Tier Account Manager in the Southern Region first quarter of 2002 (at 170% of quota), the number two Rep in the entire Central Region in 2000 (at 228% of quota) and exceeded $1M in sales revenue for three consecutive quarters.

Integration Architect/Principal Consultant in various projects involving the integration of applications and systems using BEA WebLogic products - primarily WebLogic Integration. Performed a wide range of roles - team leading, project management, solutions/technical architecture, scoping/proposals, pre-sales, business development and software design/development....

I work as a Software engineer designing and maintaining J2EE web applications for BEA Systems.

I was one of 3 senior people on a network team of 7 that was responsible for; Wide Area Network design, network implementation, network security architecture, network security implementation, and 4th level support and troubleshooting of BEA's entire world wide network (WAN & LAN). This network included several hundred Cisco routers and switches, 85 NetScreen firewalls, 15 Juniper routers, 10 Cisco PIX firewalls, 11 Nortel Contivity VPN concentrators, and 3 complete Aruba Networks wireless systems. I am very knowledgeable in all of the above platforms and while at BEA I was viewed by many as a subject matter expert in network design, network security, and network troubleshooting. In addition, I was called upon to lead and project manage several high level company wide network initiatives (such as 2 complete wireless network deployments). I had a strong reputation as a team player who was easy to work with, and who possessed excellent oral and written communication skills....

Responsibilities include implementation of J2EE applications that leverage BEA's platform for high volume, consumer facing applications. Extensive hands-on delivery of Weblogic Portal and MOM based applications.
