Experiences at bemidji state university

I worked with the campus radio station in sales and creating and producing commercials. I also hosted on-air shows and help an on-air personality as a DJ.

I did my internship through Bemidji State University after attending there. The internship was done in collaboration with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Regional Office located in Detroit Lakes, MN.
The project I worked on was an environmental monitoring and assessment task of Beauty Lake in Hubbard County, MN. The purpose of this project was to collect data pertaining to plankton and vegetation present in the lake. Additionally, water chemistry measures such as water clarity and dissolved oxygen were also collected. Since this lake was previously underdeveloped, the project is an opportunity for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and Bemidji State University to determine what degree of environmental impact human development has on a smaller lake. My role in this project was using GPS technology to navigate biologists to the collection sites and using ArcGIS 9 software to record and map impacted areas and develop necessary maps for the MPCA....
