How would you describe what you did at cenveo?

I ran a high speed envelope folding machine, capable of producing 1000 envelopes per minute. The machine printed, put in windows, and the finished product had to be randomly inspected while being packed into cartons and sent through a tape machine and down a coveyer. What's the secret to getting hired at cenveo?

Cenveo in O'Fallon shut down, but there are plants in other states. A solid work history, passing a drug test will get you hired, if you have no envelope manufacturing experience, they will train.

What did you learn along the way at cenveo?

What I learned along the way at Cenveo was Website development itself. At Cenveo I started as a data-entry temp managing documentation about Y2K compliance which companies would send each other as the millennium approached. One day I mentioned that I knew a little HTML. On June 15, 1999, I was hired permanently as a Website developer, wherein all that I now know about Active Server Pages (from "classic" ASP to ASP.NET) I learned entirely on the job. My position became permanent for eight years until Cenveo eliminated the position on June 15, 2007.... read more

For eight years I developed database-driven, interactive Internet and Intranet sites, utilizing Visual InterDev (8 years) and Visual Studio.NET (2 years).
